How to Download Drum Lab Tracks for Offline Practice

Drum Lab's full track library lives in the cloud so the app itself stays light on storage, but that only matters if playback actually works when you don't have a signal — a practice room in a basement, a flight, a tour van between cities. Downloading solves that per track, on your own terms, not all-or-nothing.

Downloading a track

Every track shows a download icon, both in a category's track list and on the track's own player screen. Tap it and the track downloads in the background — a progress ring shows how far along it is, and a checkmark replaces the icon once it's finished and cached locally.

Playing back offline

Once a track shows the checkmark, it plays back exactly the same way as any other track — same synced metronome, same Practice Mode tempo-ramping — with no network connection required. If you try to play a track that hasn't been downloaded yet and you're offline, Drum Lab will let you know it needs a connection to fetch that one first.

Managing what's downloaded

Downloaded tracks stay on your device until you remove them. Long-press or swipe on a downloaded track to delete it and free up the space, or check Settings for a full view of what's downloaded and how much storage it's using.
